A successful surgery is characterized by three factors. The surgical incision, the quality of materials and their proper placement.<\/p>\n

We are certified orthopedic surgeons of the use of \u00a0AMIS<\/strong>\u00a0technique (Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery) with extensive experience in the surgical procedure of Arthroplasty. For a decade, the anterior invasive surgery of the hip, AMIS<\/strong>. is back on track. It is the unique, less invasive procedure. The anterior intersection first appeared in 1838, for the correcting of hip injuries. For more than 50 years, it has been the sole and most reasonable way of accessing the hip. With reference to the progress of Total Arthroplasty, English orthopedist CHARNLEY considered that materials of long length had a better stability. However, the placement could be done with a great rear intersection with cross sections of the muscles. It is a long surgery with slow and sometimes not even complete recovery. In England, after years, the Hip Anterolateral Approach has prevailed. It is a relatively small incision and as we were used to the rear intersection, we were shocked by the rapidity of the operation and the quick rehabilitation of the patient. For many years we have been using this technique with excellent results. We felt a similar enthusiasm on our first AMIS operation. It is not the small incision that makes the difference, but the absence of the muscle cross section in the operating room. The result of the aforementioned procedure is the patient\u2019s faster recovery, their immediate return at their house, the absence of blood loss and the firmness of the prosthesis. For example, with the AMIS the rates of hip dislocation are less than 1%. The disadvantages of AMIS are, that the surgeon needs special training, equipment and the proper implant. It is not a technique that everyone can perform.
